The follow-up story to this is "THE RANCHER'S DAUGHTER".I too have a problem with the grammar & spell check. Not that I am any better but this does pose a problem when getting into a flow of a story. Second thing I have a problem with is the cover for both of the related stories. Really are they the best you could find. I almost did not read because of them. I am a very visual person but luckily the synopsis was something that caught my attention.
That being said I really enjoyed this series. I would give some indication as to the fact the stories go together since I read them out of order. The storyline as well as the characters were very well thoughout & it had all the elements a romance needs & more. The more being humor & suspense. I do recommend this book & series.

This author had a good story line with romance and some suspense mixed in. That is the reason for the 4 stars, but the grammar was terrible as was the formatting. Waist instead of waste and instead of going to or gonna it was gone. Commas were in the wrong place. This book would rate a 5 star if the author had a "real person" editor and all the mistakes were corrected.
Even after all that, it was an enjoyable book.
Hopefully Ms. Ladner will let someone edit her next book as I look forward to reading it.
I really liked this story. It is nice that the main character handles horses so well. Seems like this could happen in real life and the characters are just your friends. I would recommend this book if you like stories about a ranch
I liked the story line, but the spelling and editing was horrible. The writer seemed to know something about horsemanship, but even spelled "bridle" incorrectly (bridal) every time it was used.
I have no idea if this book was any good or not. The editing was non existent! Numerous spelling and punctuation errors. Through for threw, really? I ended up skimming it, but it was horrible. Don't waste your time.
Unfortunately, the plot was the only good thing about this book. The writing was immature and grade school. An editor or a good friend with a working knowledge of grammar and spelling could have moved this to a 4. Are all the 5 star reviews written by family and friends?
How any reader could give this book a 5 star rating I do not understand. I enjoyed the story and finished the book in one day, but struggled through the reading because of errors in spelling, word use, and format. As a retired teacher, I am amazed that this book was published with grammar as poor as it is. Even the cover was disappointing, out of focus and unattractive. Again, I enjoyed the plot and implore the author to take more pride in the presentation of her work. I think she has a lot of good stories to present, but in a more professional fashion.
The best part of the story is the fact that the author understands horsemanship. There are however numerous errors in punctuation with excessive comma usage. There are a few grammatical errors, such as the use of the word through when the word threw was the better choice. The suspense was good, but there were some mistakes in consistency. For example, the heroine is tied to a tree, but is suddenly able to dry her tears and cover her mouth so that the kidnappers weren't alerted to her rescue. I recommend the author have the book professionally edited.
